Korea I :
Anchor in the Dawn

O God, sovereign Lord of history,

We praise You for the freedom found only in You—the perfect freedom that no power in this world can ever take away.

Yet we confess our pride and our sins. We have failed to steward this land You entrusted to us with gratitude and humility. We have widened the rifts among us,walked the ways of the world rather than in Your truth, and clothed ourselves in self-righteousness in place of repentance. Lord, forgive us our sins.

O God, You led this nation—once small, fragile, and oppressed—out of the valley of darkness and into light and liberation. Though despair and sorrow weigh heavily upon us today, we remember the mercy and compassion You poured out upon this land in days past.

We earnestly plead that this generation, fractured by division and strife, may be made one again through the name of Christ Jesus alone. Hear our cry from the ends of the earth, O Lord, and lead us once more to the rock that is higher than we are.

Restore this land in Your righteousness and truth. Refine us by the fire of Your Holy Spirit and set us free in Your truth, that the whole world may witness that You alone reign. May Your name alone be exalted throughout this land.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and mighty fortress, we pray. Amen.
